Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – A farewell and inauguration ceremony was held at Bint al-Huda institute for higher education in Qom, Iran on Monday, January 16, in which Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, Dean of al-Mustafa International University, thanked the former dean of the center for his efforts during his years of running the institute.
Ayatollah Arafi then went on to point out some of the specific features of the Bint al-Huda center for higher education which is a sub-branch of Al-Mustafa International University saying, "Al-Mustafa University holds a strategic, comprehensive and futuristic view towards the issue of women's seminary education. So far, as many as 10,000 female clerics from more than 100 different countries have graduated from al-Mustafa University. Our goal is to train a generation of highly educated and knowledgeable female clerics worldwide."
Emphasizing al-Mustafa University's purpose to provide quality education for Muslim female students, Arafi went on," In this great movement, Bint al-Huda institute for higher education plays a vital role; This institute serves as a center for establishing new communications and patterns according to Al-Mustafa's new strategic plans."
Head of the Iranian Islamic Seminaries further added, "It's expected from Bint al-Huda center for higher education to define and introduce an Islamic model for women's roles in society as well as in family; we also hope that this institute trains religious missionaries to promote Islam on the international level; It can play a role in starting a global movement towards promoting Ahlul Bayt's (as) teachings as well as introducing the essence of Iran's Islamic Revolution to the world."
